SOBS Secretary General Participates in Leadership and Public Sector Management Training in Tanzania Arusha, Tanzania — 30 August 2026 – The Secretary General of the Somali Bureau of Standards (SOBS), Eng. Guled Mohamed Rashid, participated in a seven-day training programme held in Arusha, Tanzania, organised through the collaboration between the Office of the Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia and the Eastern and Southern African Management Institute (ESAMI). The training programme focused on key areas related to national priority initiatives, improving public service delivery, strengthening institutional performance, understanding emerging technological changes, and exploring opportunities within the East African and Somali markets. The sessions provided participants with valuable knowledge and practical approaches to enhance leadership capacity, improve strategic management, and strengthen the effectiveness of government institutions. The programme brought together senior officials from the Office of the Prime Minister, Directors General of Federal Government Ministries, and Heads of Government Institutions, providing an important platform for experience sharing, professional development, and strengthening leadership skills.
