Somali Export Promotion Council (SEPC)
The Somali Export Promotion Council (SEPC) is a government agency that is responsible for promoting the export of goods and services from Somalia. The council operates under the auspices of the Somali bureau of standards.
SEPC’s primary objective is to identify and explore export opportunities for Somali entrepreneurs. The council provides information on potential export markets, trade regulations, and export financing options. SEPC facilitates the participation of Somali enterprises in trade shows and provides training and capacity-building programs for entrepreneurs. SEPC collaborates with other government institutions, such as the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Fisheries, to promote the export of primary agricultural and fisheries products such as livestock, fish, and vegetables.
